Ulsan Hyundai smiles despite being outnumbered.
Ulsan Hyundai won 3-1 against Johor in the third round of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Champions League Group I on Thursday at 7 p.m. at the Ulsan Munsu Stadium.
With their second straight win, Ulsan moved to second place in the group with 6 points (2W-1D).
Ulsan came out firing from the start. The result came quickly in the first five minutes. From a corner kick, Jung Seung-hyun won a contested ball. He pushed the ball out with his foot and the goalkeeper couldn’t catch it accurately, leading to the first goal.
Ulsan added a second goal in the 12th minute. Rubikson caught the ball from the second line and accurately split the goal as the opponent’s goalkeeper jumped out.
Ulsan scored a wedge goal in the 18th minute when Rubiksson made a smart ball trapping move on the right flank and scored with an accurate shot from inside the box.
