The Los Angeles Dodgers bounced back from a doubleheader loss with a hot hitting performance.
The Dodgers cruised to an 11-2 victory over the Colorado Rockies on Sunday at Coors Field in Denver, Colorado. After falling 1-4 in game one of the doubleheader, the Dodgers bounced back in game two.
The Dodgers offense pounded out 18 hits and one home run. Freddie Freeman led the way, going 2-for-4 with a double, a home run, two RBIs, two runs scored, and two walks, including his 27th home run of the season. James Outman had a four-hit night and Max Muncy had a three-hit game. Colton Wong and Ahmed Rosario had multi-hit games.
Starter Bobby Miller earned his 11th win of the season with seven innings of seven-hit ball (one homer), nine strikeouts and two runs. The bullpen of Joe Kelly (one scoreless inning) and Alex Vecchia (one scoreless inning) preserved the win.
In the top of the second inning, the Dodgers loaded the bases with no outs on three consecutive singles by Max Muncy, James Outman and Enrique Hernandez before David Peralta hit a two-run double to center field. Colton Wong drew a walk and scored on an RBI single by Ahmed Rosario and an RBI double by Chris Taylor to make it 5-0.
The Dodgers added another run in the fifth when Muncy and Outman hit back-to-back singles to put runners on first and third. Hernandez followed with an RBI sacrifice fly and Wong added an RBI single.
Colorado got one run back in the bottom of the fifth on a solo home run by Eleuris Montero.
The Dodgers extended their lead to 9-1 in the top of the sixth on an RBI double by Taylor and a two-run homer by Freddie Freeman. Colorado got one run back in the bottom of the sixth on a Charlie Blackmon double and a Nolan Jones RBI single, but the Dodgers answered with a run in the top of the seventh on a Wong single, a Rosario walk, a Freeman single and a Will Smith sacrifice fly. 스포츠토토
With the game in hand, the Dodgers pushed the lead to 11-2 in the ninth on a Freeman double and a Muncy RBI single.
