Three more KBO games have been rained out. As a result, only four doubleheaders will be played on Sunday.
The Jamsil KT-LG game, the Doosan-SSG game in Munhak, and the Samsung-Hanwha game in Daejeon, which were scheduled to be held at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, were all canceled due to rain.
It has been raining continuously since the morning due to the nationwide fall rains. A large amount of rain fell, making the grounds unplayable.
The KT-LG game in Jamsil and the Samsung-Hanwha game in Daejeon were pushed back by a day and organized as a doubleheader at 3 p.m. on the 27th, meaning that four doubleheaders will be played on the 27th alone.
Doosan-SSG and Changwon-KIA-NC are scheduled as doubleheaders.
The Doosan-SSG game, which was canceled today, will be rescheduled at a later date.
This brings the KBO’s total number of canceled games this season to 93. The most ever.
There are 18 canceled games that have been pushed back to Oct. 10 because there were no makeup dates after the remaining games were announced on Aug. 29.
While October 10 was originally scheduled to be the end of the regular season, only Doosan, NC, and KIA, who are battling for the top spot, have seven, six, and six games left, respectively, raising the possibility that the start of the postseason will be pushed back five days.
Meanwhile, KT’s Joo Kwon and LG’s Casey Kelly were announced as the starting pitchers for the first game of the doubleheader on Sunday.
In Munhak, Doosan’s Brandon Waddell and SSG’s Kim Kwang-hyun will go head-to-head.
In Daejeon, Samsung’s Taylor Widener and Hanwha’s Kim Ki-jung are expected to start. 안전놀이터
