Munich ace unhappy with substitution OUT?”Ask the manager” dodge when asked why…there was a reason “recommendation from the medical team”

Joshua Kimmich appears to be unhappy about being sent off.

Bayern Munich drew 2-2 with Bayer Leverkusen in the fourth round of the 2023-24 German Bundesliga at the Allianz Arena in Munich, Germany, at 3:30 a.m. ET on Saturday. The result extended Bayern’s unbeaten run in the league to four games, but the Bavarians fell short on goal difference and failed to leapfrog into first place.

The defending champions are cruising at the start of the season. They’re unbeaten in their first three league games and sit atop the table. The summer signing made his official debut in the Super Cup against Leipzig and has been a regular starter in the league. He scored his debut goal in the opening leg and followed it up with a multi-goal performance in the second leg. He was quiet in the third leg, but that wasn’t a big concern.

Munich brought a 4-2-3-1 formation. Kane, Gnabry, Muller, Sane, Kimmich, Goretzka, Davies, Kim Min-jae, Upamecano, and Reimer started, with Ulreich in goal. Against them, Leverkusen utilized a 3-4-2-1 formation. Boniface, Wirz, Hoffmann, Grimaldo, Xhaka, Andriy, Frimpong, Topsova, Tah, and Kosunu filled out the starting lineup, with Hradecki in goal. 먹튀검증

Kim Min-jae was once again paired with Upamecano. A new signing this season, Kim made his official debut in the German Super Cup and has been a regular since the league opener. Upamecano was chosen as his partner instead of Der Licht, and the partnership that was seen in the opening match was triggered once again.

The match was tightly contested. The Bavarians were ahead in terms of objective power and had the advantage of home-field advantage, but Leverkusen’s counter-attacks were just as potent. Kane opened the scoring in the seventh minute, but Leverkusen equalized in the 24th minute when Grimaldo scored a fantastic free kick.

From there, it was a back-and-forth affair. When Munich attacked, Leverkusen would counterattack, and when Leverkusen attacked, Munich would counterattack. The Bavarians had a slight advantage in possession, shots, and passes, but it wasn’t enough to make a difference.

The game ended 2-2. Goretzka’s dramatic comeback goal in the last minute of the second half gave Munich the lead, but Leverkusen were awarded a penalty in stoppage time, which Palacios converted to avoid defeat.

Munich narrowly missed out on victory. At this point, Kimmich seemed to be unhappy about his substitution. Thomas Tuchel took Kimmich off in the 16th minute of the second half and brought on Mazurawi. Kimmich, who still had some energy left in him, was not happy as he came off and didn’t even look at Tuchel when he patted him on the shoulder to console him.

The emotions continued after the match. According to Germany’s Sky Sports, Kimmich was asked in a post-match interview why he was subbed off, to which he replied simply: “Ask the coach…”.

But there was a reason
